Joleigh has picked up a new word this past few days. From the title of the post, you can tell what it is. Here is our conversation this week.
Joleigh--"stupid door"
Me--"Joleigh, what did you say?"
Joleigh--"I say stupid"
Me--"Joleigh, that is not nice and we don't say that word"
Joleigh--"don't say stupid"
Me--"no, Jesus doesn't like it when we say STUPID, Mama doesn't like it when we say stupid...." (I went to name a few more people)
Joleigh---"I sorry Mommy"
FAST FWD TO NEXT DAY WHILE SHE WAS POTTYING AND WE WERE TALKING, AS ALWAYS
Joleigh--"Mommy, Jesus not like to say stupid"
Me--"I know baby, that is not a nice thing to say" (I was trying not to say STUPID)
Joleigh--"Mommy not like say STUPID, Daddy not like say STUPID, Jesus not like to say STUPID, Jacob not like say STUPID"
Me--"Joleigh, you are saying that ugly word...that is enough" (in a stern voice, trying not to laugh)
Joleigh--"I say stupid?"
AND THE STORY GOES ON AND ON.......

LOL! Don't you love how their little minds work? Sometimes it is so hard to keep a straight face. :-)
Must be in the water because Kina just told me Friday that she dreamed it was okay to say a bad word now. I asked her what she meant and she said in her dream she was allowed to say stupid. I said to her she might be allowed in her dreams but not in her real world. She just laughed.
That's just too cute. Sam will be 8 tomorrow and still till this day he comes up with new things. He hates to say the word C R A P!! Would it be ok with you Mendy if I added you to our blog? I just love your blog. Oh by the way check out what Sam got for his birthday. His party was today.

Still much cleaner mouth than Dori's! LOL!
We try "spelling the word" with Jenny too, but she has learned to recognize the word from us spelling it! It sure makes life interesting.

Oh my goodness, we have been having the SAME conversations about poop. She was saying poop after every word and I finally told her I was going to put hot pepper in her mouth if she said it again. Now, she says (all day long),"mommy, you don't like it when I say poop?". Me oh my! I can't win!
