Happy Mother's Day

I never knew the love of a Mother until I became one myself. One of my greatest blessings in life is being a Mommy. The late nights of rocking your little one, snotty noses, doctoring on BooBoo's, staying up with your son on his 10th birthday, outside in the tent with his friends, traveling across the world to meet your daughter for the first time, getting up early with your child to go look at God's creation in the woods, or just snuggling up with them in your bed. WOW~~I wouldn't trade any of it. I am truly thankful that God has blessed me with two beautiful children. Jacob, who is now 10 and Joleigh is 18 months. Where does the time go? I hope you all have a blessed Mother's Day! You deserve it!

Readoption Day

Our Readoption (Recognition of Foreign Birth) of Joleigh with the State of Florida, was today. We were all in attendance as a whole family, including Jacob. He took the day off so he could come share this special time, too, as a family. Our attorney, Paul Consbruck, did an excellent job helping us with the whole process. We were there 10 minutes and Paul was on the conference phone asking all the important questions we needed for Judge Smiley. I can't believe that we finally are at the point of having Joleigh's adoption completed. You don't have to readopt your child when doing IA, but when you do, you will be issued a birth certificate from your state, with our names listed as parents. If you have any questions about readoption, especially in the State of Florida, go to www.adoptfla.com and read more about it.

Joleigh is 18 months old today

I can hardly believe that Joleigh is 18 months old today. We had a very busy day with going to a family reunion and then to some friends' house for supper (yummy!). She did great, though. Joleigh has become quite a "drama queen" and full of personality. I will post pictures when I get them. My camera is on the blink and soon as I get the pictures from today from family and friends, I will post to this entry.
